Highway Survivor went to Schuyler County High School in Queen City onWednesday, November 21, where every high school class participated in the presentation. “Highway Survivor” provides an interactive experience on highway safety so that they may become safe drivers.

The game is spun from the popular television reality show and can be played by many students at one time.  Tribes of students are asked to answer questions that pertain to highway safety.  They are given tribal challenges and an opportunity to win prizes.  The game is held in a gymnasium or large open area and takes approximately one hour, depending on the number of students who participate.

Terri Zieger, D3 Customer Service Representative and Erica Stewart, Outreach Coordinator for D3 organized and conducted the event.  Assistance from Todd Greenstreet, Rodney Welch, Cory Byrd, Gary Moffett from the Lancaster maintenance building; Larry Dixon from the Macon construction office and Tammy Wallace, Community Relations Manager all helped make this a huge success.

This opportunity is something new to district 2, and the next scheduled stop will be the Trenton High School.
