Daiman Meyer
Officer Daiman Meyer has been employed with the West Plains Police Department as a Patrol Officer since July 25, 2023. Officer Meyer completed his field training and was assigned to single unit status in October 2023. Since being assigned to patrol duties, Officer Meyer has made tremendous efforts in making the roadways of our jurisdiction safer for the motoring public. Officer Meyer has displayed a passion for Driving While Intoxicated Enforcement and locating and apprehending those who present a danger to the community by operating motor vehicles in an impaired or intoxicated condition. Officer Meyer has led the West Plains Police Department in Driving While Intoxicated Enforcement arrests with a total of 58 custodial arrests since October 2023. Officer Meyer consistently comes to work with a great attitude and has been engaged with members of the West Plains Police Department to advocate for Driving While Intoxicated Enforcement efforts. Since his assignment to the patrol division in October 2023, Meyer has conducted a total of 755 Traffic Stops and issued 427 Citations and 537 Warnings for various traffic offenses.
Officer Meyer attended training courses in which he improved his ability to identify, investigate, and provide testimony in the field of impaired driving enforcement. Officer Meyer has successfully attended and graduated from Missouri’s A.R.I.D.E. (Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement) course as well as a Green Lab put on by Extract-Ed which focuses on an emphasis on marijuana impaired driving enforcement. Officer Meyer has also expressed a strong interest in becoming a Drug Recognition Expert as his ultimate goal.
